Types of Financial Aid

At Terminalfour University, the types and amounts of financial aid you receive are determined based on federal, state, and institutional guidelines. Most financial aid is awarded based on financial need, and we are committed to helping you access the resources you need to succeed.

  • Grants: Grants are awarded by federal, state, and institutional sources and are typically based on financial need. Grants are considered "gift" assistance, meaning they do not need to be repaid.

  • Scholarships: Scholarships are available through the Terminalfour University Foundation, corporate partners, private donors, and the university itself. Like grants, scholarships are "gift" assistance and do not need to be repaid.

  • Work-Study: Through our student employment program, students have the opportunity to work on or off-campus and earn an hourly wage. This program helps students gain valuable work experience while earning money to cover educational expenses.

  • Federal Student Loans: Federal student loans are available at low-interest rates and offer flexible repayment options, typically starting after the student is no longer enrolled at least half-time (6 or more credits).

Financial aid eligibility is determined based on the information you provide on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is the first step in applying for financial aid at Terminalfour University. Let us help guide you through the process!
